Sophie's Field Study

Picture that I will take each time: Date: November 15, 2025 Time: 4:05 p.m. Climate/Conditions: It was a super nice day, it was a little warmer than it has been lately. Temperature: The temperature was 60º with a feels like of 58º. Length of Day: The total length of day light right now is 9hrs and 42mins. The sunrises at 7:37 and sets at 5:20. Organisms: On this walk I saw some squirrels, a few birds and I also took my goats again. Changes: The leaves are mostly fallen and are filling our creek. The color of our creek has not changed very much lately.  Picture that I will take each time: Date: November 4, 2025 Time: 4:05 p.m. Climate/Conditions: It was a little bit cloudy outside and the temperature is definitely dropping. Temperature: The temperature was 51º with a feels like of 43º. Length of Day: The total length of day light right now is 9hrs and 55mins. The sunrises at 7:30 and sets at 5:26. Organisms: This time I took our goats for a walk out to my location. Changes: The leaves are really changing color and lots of them have fallen into the creek.

  Picture that I will take each time: Date: October 12, 2025 Time: 2:15 p.m. Climate/Conditions: It was sunny outside and cooler then it has been my last two visits. Temperature: The temperature was 63º with a feels like of 64º. Length of Day: The total length of day light right now is 11hrs and 11mins. The sunrises at 7:54 and sets at 7:06. Organisms: There were lots of bees and water bugs. Changes: The weather is getting cooler lately and the amount of daylight is getting way shorter. Observations: Last time I noticed that the water had changed from being really foggy to being more clear. This time the water wasn't as clear as my second visit but it wasn't as foggy as my first visit either. When I looked up my question from last visit on if the leaves could have something to do with the water being cleared I found that they could impact the clarity of the water. When I read the article that explained how this worked it said that the leaves on top of the creek could slow it do...

 

 

 Picture that I will take each time: Date: September 28, 2025 Time: 2:50 p.m. Climate/Conditions: No wind, the sun was completely out. Temperature: The temperature was 77º with a feels like of 82º. Length of Day: The total length of day light right now is 11hrs and 51mins. The sunrises at 7:38 a.m. and sets at 7:30 p.m. Organisms: I saw two squirrels today; one of them was red and the other one was grey. I also saw tons of bees. Changes: Some of the leaves have started to change colors. The water also changed colors. Last field study it was a brownish grey color and this time it was more of a rusty brown color and a lot more clear. Field Study #2 Field Study #1 Wonderings: I wonder why the water was a different color this time and if it has something to do with the leaves starting to fall into the creek.
